Year in Review 2025
HITORI’s Year in Review 2025: a snapshot of secure, compliance-first platforms across healthcare, fintech, and regulated environments.
I don’t often do a year-in-review post, but 2025 felt like a good time to pause and reflect. To be fair, it wasn’t that much bigger than usual; we just tend to do a lot, work on a lot of complex things, and partner with some genuinely great clients.
A big chunk of what we build never really fits neatly into a case study or project page. Much of our work lives in regulated, secure, or compliance-heavy environments, or sits behind NDAs. Some platforms are simply too complex to explain in a few screenshots. But here goes – a snapshot of what 2025 looked like at HITORI.
Big Builds & Launches
This year we launched Peddler, a pharmaceutical 3PL distribution platform integrated with Shopify and Xero, backed by our own custom middleware API. It handles order payouts, distribution agreements, and live reporting via a real-time dashboard. Alongside that, we launched Single Estate and Dankrupt pharmaceutical websites, including TGA-compliant medicinal cannabis packaging, CMIs, and product information sheets. All platforms include multi-user access and secure areas for doctors, pharmacies, and patients.
In a similar vein, we designed and developed an automated ordering and logistics platform for a major medicinal cannabis importer. This system tracks shipments, generates automated printable shipping labels, and produces internal import/export and Department of Health compliance reports (all critical for legal and regulatory workflows).
We also launched v1 of MailRoom, an innovative cloud-based mail management system designed for virtual offices and co-working spaces, providing a centralised, secure way to receive, manage, and track physical mail digitally.
On the product side, we added Velo Facades to the Price & Spec platform. This was by far the most complex product in Sculptform’s range. The 3D design tool allows architects and developers to custom design and quote innovative building facades in real time.

HealthTech (As Usual)
We continued work on Anaessist, a mobile app for anaesthetists to create sessions and episodes during surgical procedures. The app includes multiple medically imperative and complex calculations used during live procedures, along with reporting and a supporting web app. We’re excited for the next phase, which will include electronic prescribing integration and Medicare code linking for billing and invoicing.
We also launched rxConnect®, our proprietary ePrescribing middleware. It’s designed to streamline integration with the HI Service, converting Medicare numbers into IHIs and bridging into the eRx and Australian Digital Health Agency electronic prescribing frameworks.
Startups, Experiments & Ventures
We built a remote rehabilitation mobile app for a startup integrating Bluetooth medical and fitness devices, with live video and audio between clinicians and patients. Unfortunately, the co-founders had a falling out and the company folded – it’s unfortunate, but it happens. But it reinforced something we already knew: great ideas and great tech aren’t always enough.
That experience helped push us to launch HITORI Ventures, where we selectively partner with early-stage startups to help them get to market. Not every founder has investors or deep pockets — but they still need real support, guidance, and execution. We’re currently in conversations with a few promising startups and will likely move ahead with a couple of them in the new year.
What’s Coming (Soon)
We’re nearing completion of a cutting-edge Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) tablet app supporting multiple languages including English, Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, Spanish, and French (to name a few). The app includes innovative AI features, full UI customisation, a live whiteboard, and an image library. Keep an eye out, this one’s exciting!
We’re also in final testing for Our Care Connected, a custom on-demand platform designed to replace or work alongside My Health Record. It includes a clinician web app and a patient mobile app, allowing patients to truly own and control their medical records, choosing exactly who can access what, whether that’s a GP, specialist, or family member.
We’re also deep into work on Miyamoto Medical, a pharmaceutical review platform that enables GPs to seamlessly send medication reviews to MRPs, another meaningful health platform we’re excited to launch in the new year.
Looking Ahead to 2026
Next year is already shaping up to be another big one. We’ve starting work on Skin360AI, an AI-powered skin lesion, dermatology review, and telehealth platform. We’re also in the early phases of building a chiropractic-focused PMS and reporting platform, covering full-cycle patient and practitioner management.
And in a slightly new direction for us, but very much in the same vein as our regulated health platforms, we’re also building a highly secure fintech platform focused on AML/CTF compliance for an emerging startup.
Wrapping Up
So yes, we’ve done a lot. And that’s only a selection of what’s kept us busy this year!
A huge thank you to our passionate team and to our clients for their ongoing trust, collaboration, and long-term partnerships.
We’ll be taking a break from 24 December and returning on 5 January, refreshed and ready to go.
All the best for the festive season and a big cheers to the year ahead! 🎉
