My Health Record integration without the infrastructure burden.

01 / REST

Integrate faster

Use a focused My Health Record REST API with JSON and multipart requests instead of building directly against specialised national infrastructure.

02 / PRIVATE

Keep control

Deploy the My Health Record middleware inside your own infrastructure while your application retains its interface, workflows, architecture and data flow.

03 / GUIDED

Move through conformance

HITORI can support implementation, test preparation, issue resolution and the applicable approval process.

mhrConnect® FAQs

Questions, answered.

What does mhrConnect® connect to?
It connects your healthcare software to My Health Record and the Services Australia Healthcare Identifiers Service. The included HI Service integration is called hiConnect®.
Can we keep our own interface and workflows?
Yes. mhrConnect® sits behind your application. Your team controls the clinician experience, workflows, architecture and data flow.
What clinical documents are supported?
The current middleware supports Event Summary, Specialist Letter, Pathology Report, e-Referral and eHealth Prescription Record uploads, along with document listing, viewing and downloads.
Does integration make our software production-ready?
No. Your complete product and organisation must still meet the applicable workflow, security, audit, conformance and approval requirements. HITORI can support that process.
How is mhrConnect® deployed?
It is designed for private deployment within your own cloud or infrastructure, keeping control of the integration and data environment with your organisation.
Can mhrConnect® support future integrations with Australia's digital health ecosystem?

Yes. Both mhrConnect® and rxConnect® provide a strong foundation for expanding your software's connectivity across Australia's digital health ecosystem.

By establishing secure, direct integrations within your own infrastructure, your organisation retains control over its architecture, data and integration roadmap, without ongoing reliance on third-party SaaS platforms.

As your software evolves, this foundation can support future integrations with services such as Medicare Online claiming, the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR), electronic National Residential Medication Charts (eNRMC), aged care information exchange and other Australian Government digital health services.

This approach supports long-term scalability across telehealth, general practice, specialist care, hospitals, aged care and other healthcare settings, allowing you to progressively expand your platform's capabilities while retaining ownership and control.

Additional integrations can be developed as required, subject to the relevant technical, access and conformance requirements.

What is rxConnect®?

rxConnect® is electronic prescribing middleware from HITORI. It gives healthcare software a focused integration layer for adding electronic prescribing workflows while allowing your organisation to retain control of its own application experience, architecture and infrastructure.

Like mhrConnect®, it is designed to reduce the complexity of connecting healthcare products to Australian digital health services and can be supported through the relevant implementation and conformance requirements.
